RED REMEMBERS -- Memories of a Decorated WWII Air Force Veteran

Production Company:
Dr. Jack Dempsey
Plot/Description:
An 11-part interview with World War II Army Air Force veteran Clarence "Red" Eudaily---Flight Engineer on a B-24 Liberator bomber of the 15th Air Force (464th Bomb Group), who with my father received the Distinguished Flying Cross for heroism in action one day in August 1944. How did these particular 10 young men learn to fly their aircraft, and learn to survive the harrowing every-day missions that defeated Hitler's Germany? Red as an eloquent 97-year-old eyewitness takes us from his Midwestern boyhood during the Depression through Air Force training, their first combat missions together, and through the losses of so many courageous friends (including the day he shot down a German fighter)---with vivid detail, caring memory, wry humor and great humility.
