Hollywood

Hi,
I was wondering If anyone knows how I would start filming a documentry. I have te idea of what I want to do and people that want to be in it I just don't know what I would need for equiptment and then how I would have someone actually look at it. Im really excited about this project and I think that it would help a lot of men and women in our military.. thanks for any help.
