Interlock Media, a nonprofit production company in Cambridge, MA, is seeking a volunteer apprentice editor. This position will give the opportunity to work on long-term, blue chip documentaries, as well as on high-velocity, quick-turnaround projects, and involve regular critiques, helping to quickly improve editing skills.
Qualifications: Applicant should be proficient in Final Cut Pro or Avid Media Composer, with 3+ years editing experience.
Preferred: Applicants who can bring in their own editing system. Offsite work is not ideal, but can be discussed if necessary.

GrooveBoston is looking for a video editor to transform dance party footage into short (3 minutes) high-impact promo clips. You will report directly to a video manager and be responsible for working with them to handle all post-production responsibilities. Applicants should own and be fluent in Final Cut (including Motion and Color), be willing to work under tight deadlines, and be available for occasional meetings at the GrooveBoston office in Woburn, MA. You may also be asked to join the video crew at select GrooveBoston events, which typically occur on Fridays or Saturdays.

Associate Director will plan, develop, and produce e-marketing campaigns to support Advancement division, strengthen engagement with alumni and friends, and forward goal of comprehensive fundraising initiative. Marketing campaigns include creation and management of Advancement and campaign website, shooting/editing video, e-newsletters, management of social media strategy to support fundraising objectives, and creation of videos to be shared with donor audience. Bachelor's required; Master’s preferred.

Uneven Strings is a short romantic comedy that was filmed this past summer and is seeking an editor to work with the production team to edit the final version of the film. We are looking for an experienced editor, or a student editor with a strong portfolio and at least two references.

Other than Final Cut Pro, which we cannot use because we do not have a Mac, we can edit only on these editing systems. The camera used for this film was a Panasonic AG HVX 200 and is designed to work only with these programs.

I am looking for a Final Cut Pro 7 editor to edit a feature length documentary. This film tells the story of two Christian hermit monks - one who lives in the deserts of Egypt, and another who lives in Lebanon. The film is mostly in English with some Spanish, French and Arabic, but these scenes were transcribed. There are approximately 35 hours of footage to work with.

We are actively looking for an experienced and knowledgeable editor (preferably in or around the Northshore area of Massachusetts) for post-production work on a completed short film. Must have access to their own editing software with the ability to transfer standard widescreen to 16:9. We’re basically looking for someone with some editing knowledge willing to work within the confines of our extremely limited budget for a reasonable rate.

Just returned from Africa with footage for 10+ brief (2-6 minute) pre-scripted videos on newborn care. Upon editorial completion, videos will be sent back into the field as “real world” instructional tools for health care workers in developing countries.
