Why aren't film schools teaching about the reality of production budgeting?
Seems like everyone one this board is looking for something (cast, crew, gear, etc.) for nothing. The reality is that sound is at least 50% of your project, so remember the sound guy when you are renting the latest, greatest camera and lens package.

Does new England film even have any credits? Who has gotten an acting job because of them? Why don't I know this? Are you responsible for any production or film jobs?

I am interested in obtaining a list of places that offer reputable film acting classes North of Boston and more specifically in the Merrimack Valley. Would you be able to provide? Thank you.

Story Productions posted under "jobs" looking for actors and actresses for a comedy but did not provide any contact information. Is there a way you can let them know they need to provide contact information so local talent can send headshots and resumes?

A year and a half ago, I signed up for ActorsonSet.com thinking that it would give me some added exposure on the west coast. The agreement I signed stated that if I was not totally satisfied with their service I could get a 100% refund, which was $98.90. I couldn't get back in touch with anyone, nor get my money back. They ripped me off. Come to find out, this company had done the same to many others. I filed a complaint with the Los Angeles Attorney General's Office, which in turn searched this company out.

I am working on 2 documentaries that contain 50-100 hours each of archival footage that I have digitized and we have logging notes added into a shared google spreadsheet but I need something that is more of a database so I can enter and search the key words. I know some of this is in FCPX but I have so much footage in FCP7 and sorted that I think I would waste a ton of time just getting to the same place I am now, and I would still like to share this info with non editing producers.

I posted an event listing about the Mondays at Matt's, Not Yer Daddy's Headshot Clinic and thought I remember seeing something about headshots in the classified ads.

But I couldn't find anything other than calls for talent on there this time.

Can I post it in the classified ads or is that the wrong section?

In NYC, Florida and LA, actors have agents that work with casting and production companies to get actors auditions. In Boston, there are 2 casting places,(that I know of), and they want money from actors to represent them. Why no agents? I haven't been able to audition in New England, let alone book something for 4 years. I booked work everywhere else.
Casting places get paid on the other end, why should actors have to pay?

I found Wildcard Pictures/Wildsound Corporation on the internet and apparently they're a Canadian company operating out of Toronto, Canada. Their email to me suggested I submit my screenplays to them and I was just wondering if anyone has had a bad situation with them.
