How do I find a job or acting role in the local industry? NewEnglandFilm.com does not place people in film and video jobs or acting roles, however we do keep an updated list of available jobs and casting calls at http://www.NewEnglandFilm.com/jobs.htm We suggest you bookmark that page and check back every few days for new opportunities. If you are from the US and work in film/video, make sure that you are listed in our Industry Directory at http://www.NewEnglandFilm.com/guide/ -- fill out a form to be included at http://www.NewEnglandFilm.com/directory/check.htm It might also make sense for you to get listed with Crew Referral companies in the area. You can find listings of these at http://www.NewEnglandFilm.com/guide/list.nef?category=201 New England is a great film community to find work in. We always recommend that people interested in "breaking in" start attending industry meetings on a regular basis. We list those at http://www.NewEnglandFilm.com/events/ Also, depending on the kind of work you're interested in, you might want to join a few of the local industry organizations. Find listings of them at http://www.NewEnglandFilm.com/guide/list.nef?category=203 All job listings and classifieds are completely free to post and view. Our classifieds are seen by thousands of people each week, so expect a great response to your ad! This means that if you don't want people calling you, please don't list your number. For jobs, always specify if the job is paid or unpaid and be as specific about the position as possible. Please see our Helpful Instructions for details. A few rules:
Listings are updated 1-2 times
per week. Please be patient! How do I change or edit my classified listing? If you need to make a change to an existing classified, please us the updates -- letting us know the new and old ad; the section it is listed in (e.g. jobs, directory, calls for entries). We will make that change for you as quickly as possible. We do not save information on past ads, so we can't help you on this one. Please make sure to copy down information when the listing is online. Jobs stay up for 1 month only. The only place for people to list their services is in our Industry Directory. To get listed for free, fill out our form at http://www.NewEnglandFilm.com/directory/check.htm Our privacy policy does not allow us to give out filmmakers' (or anyone's) contact information unless we have explicit permission to do so. However, we do have contact information for most filmmakers and are happy to pass on a message (within reason) to them. The filmmaker can then decide to respond to the message or not. A REQUEST OF THIS SORT MUST BE SENT VIA ONLY. NewEnglandFilm.com does not finance films or help filmmakers with financing. However, we do have several articles that may be useful. For example, take a look at our piece How to Finance Your Film or The Money Web: New Ways to Finance Films for more information. NewEnglandFilm.com has also started a series of articles about grants, so subscribe to get new issues. In addition, we've added a new category to our industry directory for funding resources and have created a discussion forum for "Film Financing." Any information that we have is listed on our site. Try doing a search for the company on NewEnglandFilm.com. If nothing relevant comes up, that means we don't know anything. You might try doing a search on Google.com. NewEnglandFilm.com is always looking for local films and filmmakers to profile. Please a media kit. . .
