Director(s) Bio:: Jeff Bemiss (Co-Director/Co-Producer) is an Oscar-shortlisted writer/director who has worked in shorts, features and documentaries.

Jeff is currently in production on "Missing in Brooks County", a feature documentary about deceased migrant crossers buried anonymously in South Texas and a team of female forensic scientists who are exhuming and identifying them. Executive Produced by Fork Films.

Jeff wrote and directed the 30-minute love story, "The Book and the Rose," based a popular story by Max Lucado. "The Book and the Rose" won 27 first place awards at 55 film festivals internationally and was one of ten semi-finalists for the Oscar for best short film. The film has aired on PBS and continues to play annually on network television.

Originally trained in scripted filmmaking, Jeff co-wrote the feature film A Long Tomorrow, a time travel drama based on a story by Jack Finney (Invasion of the Body Snatchers, The Love Letter, Time and Again).

When not working on films, Jeff does freelance work for disability and social activist clients, for whom he has had the pleasure of interviewing world renowned research scientists and legendary civil rights leaders.

Bemiss is a graduate of the University of Southern California film school and the L.A. Sanford Meisner Academy. Jeff teaches film production at Trinity College in Hartford, CT.
