"The Empty Mirror" will screen on June 10 at the Harvard Film Archive.

The Boston Jewish Film Festival is co-presenting a film with the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston (MFA) called "Brother Born Again." The film screens on June 3, 2001 at the MFA with director Julia Pimsleur present. "The Empty Mirror," by Boston-based writer/director Barry Hershey
will screen at The Harvard Film Archive on Sunday, June 10, 2001 at 9:00 p.m. as part of the Americans at Cannes Series. "The Empty Mirror" premiered at Cannes in 1996, and this is the first public viewing of the recently completed Director's Cut of the film. Film Festivals

This year's Newport International Film Festival runs June 5-10, 2001, in Newport, R.I. The festival will screen 60 films over the course of six days. The 6th annual Nantucket Film Festival will take place June 20-24, 2001. The Nantucket Film Festival was created in 1996 to recognize original voices in film and to honor the screenwriters who created them. The Found Footage Film Festival will be held at the Coolidge Corner Theater, June 22-23, 2001. The festival will show archival footage from the Coolidge's private collection of vintage classroom films, the archives of the Berwick Research Institute, and the video library of private collectors about town. Some of the films showing over the weekend include: Orson Wells in "Future Shock," and the Ma Bell promotional oddity "Telezonia."
