Cost: $120 Come learn the basics of documentary filmmaking: interview techniques, shooting b-roll, titling, voiceover, establishing shots, graphics, etc. Independent documentary filmmaker Naomi Greenfield will discuss strategies and techniques that will help you start to make your own film. She will use her film festival hit "TWISTED: A Balloonamentary" (www.twistedballoondoc.com) as a teaching example for how to make an independent documentary from soup to nuts. Students will be asked to shoot and edit their own short (2-4 minutes) mini-documentary during out-of-class time. The group will discuss and review the work during the class. Students must have experience shooting and editing video, and have access to a camera and editing equipment. The class meets on Monday evenings for five sessions from 7:00 to 9:30pm. Call for more information and to register. Contact Person: Wendy BlomPhone: 617-628-8826Posted Email: director@access-scat.org Start Date: Monday, January 26, 2009 7:00pm |
