Carter Thor Studios has working relationships with the top Hollywood casting directors and the major studios. Jock MacDonald, founder of Carter Thor Studios East, has worked professionally as an actor in film, television and theatre for over 25 years, appearing in over ten major motion pictures, including three leading roles.  He guest starred on many television shows including: Murphy Brown, Providence, and Pensacola: Wings of Gold. Jock has over ten years experience as a professional coach and teacher. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Theater from University of Vermont, and a Masters of Fine Arts in Acting from Ohio University. He holds Acting Diplomas from the Weist-Barron School of Television and from British American Drama Academy, Bailliol College, and Oxford University.

The workshop will start with a lively Q & A which will provide much insight into the audition process:
• What film and television casting directors are looking for.
• Why the director is using two audition scenes for this character.
• What to do on your way to the audition; in the waiting room; on your way home from the audition.
• How to correctly analyze your script from an actor’s point of view.
Each actor is given sides for an audition simulation and Jock will work one-on-one with actors to bring out their best audition.
