Cruising In The Van Productions is a film production company based out of Bedford, Massachusetts and New York, NY that’s mission is to make high quality motion pictures using cost-effective measures.
Co-founders Eric Green and Matthew Nerney grew up in picturesque Bedford and in the summer of 2000 they joined forces to create Cruising In The Van Productions. The inaugural production was "To Be John Woo" written and directed by Eric. The short was put together for a relatively low budget and the cast was made up of SAG and non-union talent. The 16mm color short film, which was completed in the Fall of 2001, has had a successful run on the film festival circuit (a big hit at festivals in Massachusetts, California, New Hampshire, Florida and Texas, as well as Canada and Australia).
In 2004, CITV released "Musician For Hire", their first New York City shoot. Shot on Mini-DV and in a very short amount of time, MFH tells the story of Joe, a struggling rock musician. Completed in 2004, MFH has been a big hit on the film festival circuit (playing over a dozen festivals all over the country, as well as Canada), winning an award (Best Music Video for the music video sequence at the Myrtle Beach International Film Festival), airing on television (on The Director’s Chair) and streaming the Internet.
Over the last year, CITV has been hard at work on a documentary about Boston’s 1980’s music video channel V66 entitled Life On The V: The Story of V66. CITV also have several music videos, shorts and features in various stages of development.
