Los Angeles based Carter Thor Studios is one of the leading film acting studios in the world and is now in full swing in Boston. There are openings in the ongoing scene study class which meets Mondays from 6pm to 10pm in Harvard Square .

For over ten years, the Carter Thor Studios have been helping actors, writers, directors and other artists reach their highest potential. The emphasis in our scene study course is designed to develop skills for film acting but is also relevant and highly useful for stage and television work.

Founded by Cameron Thor and Alice Carter following their work with legendary coach Roy London, our goal is to familiarize you with the language, intention, and tools of script analysis so that you will utilize them actively and aggressively in your scene study and in your professional work. You will explore and exercise tools such as goal, action, obstacle, inner object, inner monologue, doings, place, fourth wall, previous circumstance, and playable action.
Requirements: Professional commitment and regular attendance.

Carter Thor East Instructor, Jock MacDonald, has been a professional actor for over twenty-five years and has taught professionally for over ten years. He has appeared on stage throughout the United States and in England and has had major roles in over ten motion pictures and co-starred on many prime time television shows. Jock holds a BA in Theater from the U. of Vermont, an MFA in Acting from Ohio U., and a diploma in Acting from the British American Academy of Drama, Oxford University.
