Benefit Screening of THE AGRONOMIST with Director Jonathan Demme

Event Location: Cost: $25 Internationally acclaimed director Jonathan Demme, recipient of this year's Coolidge Award, introduces his moving 2003 documentary about the life and work of Jean Dominique, human rights activist and host of the independent radio station Radio Haiti-Inter. Although forced to temporarily leave Haiti twice, Dominique remained an outspoken advocate of freedom of the press and the Haitian community until his assassination in 2000. THE AGRONOMIST features a stunning soundtrack by Grammy Award-winning musician Wyclef Jean. Proceeds from this event will go to support Haiti earthquake-relief efforts through the on-the-ground nonprofit organization Partners in Health. In conjunction with the Coolidge Award, the Coolidge will present a variety of programs on March 1-2 celebrating Jonathan Demme's achievements.
