In this course students study the craft of acting with an emphasis placed on developing and understanding the importance of being in the moment and discovering the best of who you are. Students will learn the fundamentals of a cold reading, how to slate, how to audition and how to deliver a compelling performance. Students will be introduced to some the basics of professional presentation skills with practical applications to the acting industry, the business world and to life. Each class includes training in relaxation technique, vocal care and Meisner repetition exercises*. The purpose of this course is to help each student gain confidence in themselves while conquering the challenges of being authentic and fusing acting skill with instinct, imagination and emotion. Instructor: Kim Hyder Co Instructor: Karen Vaughn is in the 1 year CrosbyQuest teacher actor training certification Program Special Guest Instruction: Debra Crosby Open Enrollment: 4 weeks: $200 1 FREE class any Tuesday of the Month 8 weeks: $350 Tuition = $300.00. No make up for 8 class tuition when you take the $50.00 Discount OR pay full tuition of $350.00 and get 1 make up class. NO MAKE UP CLASS in the 8 week course if you take the $50.00 Discount & NO TUITION REINBURSEMENT after attending the first class in the 8 week training. If you are taking the 1 make up class tuition option, there is a 24 Hours notice required to miss a class and get a make up unless there is an extreme circumstance to be determined on a case by case basis.
