Film & Television Composer
A precocious love affair with the piano at age five set Dow Brain on the road to
his present-day career as a composer, songwriter, producer, and co-owner of
Underground Productions, Inc. and www.bumpmusicnow.com. In addition to
creating the theme song and much of the score for the TVLand hit series
"How'd You Get So Rich?" featuring Joan Rivers, Brain also and created the
theme song for the History Channel series “The Works,” Brain has had over 500
music placements in films and television shows, including: Weeds, Kyle XY, The
Sopranos, Greek, Scrubs, America's Funniest Videos, The Oprah Winfrey Show
and several others (see below.) He co-wrote and produced the song “Single
Girl” for a nationally airing Match.com commercial. Brain’s company,
Underground Productions, Inc. has been operating in Boston, MA since 1992,
and has earned five RIAA certified Platinum and Gold albums and singles,
including a Platinum single for the number-one selling song “Summer Girls,”
recorded by LFO on Arista Records.
