NickAssAbout Nicholas AssuntoI hold a B.A. in Theater Arts from Salve Regina University and currently study advanced improv at The Upright Citizen's Brigade Theater in New York City. I co-wrote, directed and edited a 2007 48 Hour Film Festival "Best of Providence" short film, P.T. London in the Tri-Spy Try. I currently direct Slanted Light, the comedy addition to Slanted Light Theater Company out of Milford, CT. In college I was awarded Most Valuable Improviser in my graduating class as well as during the 2007 Improv Boston College Comedy Beanpot Tournament during Round 1 with my group Seahawk Down, which I student directed. I also studied playwriting under Franco D'Alessandro, an internationally renowned playwright and student of Edward Albee's. As a writer I have several unproduced one act plays, and one unproduced feature length screenplay, a horror western entitled "Soul Hungry: The Daring Rescue", as well as several works in progress. I also write sketch comedy and short films, and am available for hire on any projects. As a director I have done a college production of Agatha Christie's The Mousetrap and David Ives' All in the Timing. I have also done three short films.
