I'm making a break-through documentary film, http://www.teshuvafilm.com about
personal transformation and redemption. The film is chronicling three generations of two inter-connected Jewish families with a legacy of addiction, and each family has members who are or have been prisoners. We are focusing on twenty-three year old unmarried parents, Dana and Philip,and Philip's first cousin, Martin, who is on Death Row. Their respective journeys from incarceration to redemption are filled with monumental obstacles and set backs. We are also filming the struggles of Dana, Philip and Martin's family members.

Dana, Philip, Martin and their families have given us incredible access to their lives and we have exclusive and rare footage.

The film is an emotionally honest, multi-layered and meaningful project. We have shot over 65 hours of footage, both inside and outside of prisons. Our goal is to end filming in October 2009 on Yom Kippur the Jewish Day of Atonement, and to finish post production by spring/summer 2010.

I am also the founder of " Connect the Docs , a group of great documentary filmmakers designed to make connections, share news, resources and information and to exchange ideas. We meet monthly at The Coolidge. The Boston Society of Film Critics honored me with a Special Commendation in 2007 for running these film salons.

I have taught Film Production to middle school students and high school students.
