About Ben Bornstein

Ben Bornstein, a Massachusetts native, moved to Los Angeles from Boston in 2003 to pursue a career in the film industry doing Special FX Makeup. He has since contributed to over fifty projects and his resume boasts credits on numerous major films, television shows, and commercials including 300, Arrested Development, and The Departed.
In 2009, Ben moved back to Boston to establish himself and his company as the East Coast’s axis for all Special FX Make-Up projects. He founded Creative Initiative Make-Up & FX Studio in 2005, and has since been responsible for the Make-Up FX in upcoming independent movies such as Acts Of Violence with Leelee Sobiesky, Murder World with Sophie Monk, as well as television pilots for VH1 and Tru TV. Since moving back to Boston, he has done prosthetic Make-Up on the upcoming dark drama Don McKay with Thomas Hayden Church and Elizabeth Shue. He is currently involved with The Fighter, starring Mark Wahlberg and Christian Bale set to kick off in mid-July in the Boston area.
